In 2004 and 2005, Hangzhou will initially construct a backbone road network of one ring, three verticals, and five horizontals.

Qiantang River Crossing Tunnel and Qingchun East Road Tunnel will also be started this year.

The middle ring of the Jiangnan Development Zone and the sub ring that connects the west of the city and the cultural and educational district, so that the east-west traffic will be greatly eased.

 

In the long-term goals for 2016 - 2018, the scope of reconstruction, reconstruction and renovation also included 10 river crossing passages including Yuanpu Bridge (planning) and 16 external radiating passages including Hangning Expressway.
